Red Rock State Park is a twenty minute drive from the popular tourist town of Sedona. This small 286 acre park is a great place to visit for some family hiking. Enjoy the tranquil setting while hiking the popular Apache Fire Trail. This loop trail has a gradual elevation gain that leads to the now vacant House of Apache Fire, an adobe style property built during 1946 by Jack and Helen Frye. As the trail ascends, panoramic views of unique red sandstone formations are visibe. For an extended hike, the Apache Fire Trail also connects with the Javelina Trail and the Coyote Ridge Trail.
