The trailhead for the Abineau Trail is located just a short walk away from the parking lot. This strenuous loop trail also connects with the Bear Jaw Trail. The trail ascends the north side of Humphreys Peak through Aspen and Ponderosa Pine trees. The panoramic views are amazing from this trail. The gorge of the Grand Canyon can be seen as well as the magnificence of Humphreys Peak.
