The Brookbank Trail is a very popular trail for weekend hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. This is a moderately strenuous hike with a gradual ascent through a forest of Juniper Pine, Douglas Fir and meadows filled with wildflowers. Spectacular views of the San Francisco Peaks are also visible from the trail as well as views of the city of Flagstaff. Elk and deer are plentiful and not as elusive as the black bear that also habitat the area. The Brookbank Trail ends at a low point known as a 'notch' or 'saddle' which then connects with the Sunset Trail.
The Brookbank Trail has a maximum elevation of 8,679 ft., a minimum elevation of 7,655 ft. and an elevation range of 1,024 ft.
