The Limpy Botanical Trail is a short, easy to moderate interpretive loop trail within the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The trail offers plenty of shade during the summer months due to the diversity of trees that grow here, the rich serpentine soil has a high mineral content that allows the slow growing Jeffrey pine, California Coffeeberry and Brewer's Oak to thrive.
Much of the trail is covered with rock, and roots of trees protrude from the soil. Appropriately placed along the Limpy creek and its small flowing waterfalls are several benches for hikers to enjoy the tranquil setting. Wooden bridges have been constructed to allow for easy access crossing the creek.
The Limpy Botanical Loop Trail has a maximum elevation of 1,453 ft., a minimum elevation of 1,281 ft. and an elevation range of 172 ft.
