The Uncle Jim Trail is one of the most popular hiking trails within the Grand Canyon North Rim. The trail begins with a gentle climb through a tall forest of Aspen and Ponderosa Pine. Some sections of the trail can be a steep climb, but overall a fun, moderate hike. A short spur trail leads to an overlook where you can see the switchbacks of the North Kaibab Trail.
