The Puerco Pueblo Trail is a short, easy paved loop trail that is suitable for wheelchairs. Information panels are available at the ruins explaining the history of the areas kiva's, petroglyphs and pueblos. Archeologists believe that several hundred people lived at this location between 1250 AD and 1300 AD, the area is strewn with pottery shards that are still visible on the ground. It is a criminal offence to remove artifacts from the National Park.
